Online Consultation Before You Fly to Seoul

Quick answer

Yes, you can start planning before you travel. Send The Heal in Jamsil, Seoul a few photos and your concerns via KakaoTalk or email, and we reply with suggested treatments, likely sessions and how to time them around your flights. Final decisions are made at an in-person consultation with Dr. Yang. Send your photos on KakaoTalk for a plan before you fly.

How the pre-trip consultation works

  1. Send your photos and details on KakaoTalk or to yjh34600@naver.com: front and side views, your concerns, and travel dates.
  2. Get a suggested plan with treatment options, approximate sessions and an order that respects downtime and flights.
  3. Confirm your appointment once the schedule works for you.
  4. Finalize in person with Dr. Yang, who examines your skin and adjusts the plan before treatment.

This approach saves time on arrival: instead of starting from zero, your in-person consultation focuses on confirming details and answering your remaining questions.

How to take useful skin photos

  • Use daylight from a window, facing the light, without flash or filters
  • Remove makeup and tie hair back
  • Take front, left and right side views at eye level
  • Add close-ups of specific concerns such as scars, spots or jowls
  • For lifting, include one photo looking slightly down, which shows laxity

Clear photos let us suggest realistic options and avoid surprises on the day. Your photos are used only for planning your care.

If you have had previous treatments such as filler, lifting or laser in the past year, mention them with approximate dates, as they affect what we recommend and when.

What an online review can and cannot do

Photos are excellent for an early plan: identifying likely treatments, estimating sessions and deciding how many days you need. They cannot replace a hands-on examination. Skin thickness, laxity, pigment depth and some medical conditions can only be judged in person, and a mole or spot of concern always needs direct examination. That is why the final treatment plan, and the final quote, are confirmed at your visit. This protects your safety and makes sure your trip is spent on the right treatments.

Answers to common pre-trip concerns

  • Language: we reply in English, and your in-person consultation is in English too.
  • Who reviews it: plans are guided by a board-certified dermatologist.
  • Flights: we plan downtime-heavy treatments early so you fly home comfortable.
  • Price: fees are explained after consultation, once the plan is confirmed.
  • Aftercare: you can send progress photos on KakaoTalk after you return home.

See flying after treatment for timing tips.

If you are comparing clinics, it is reasonable to ask who will review your photos and who will treat you. Our answer is simple: your plan is led by Dr. Yang, a board-certified dermatologist.

When to send your photos

Ideally three to four weeks before your trip, so there is time for questions and scheduling. For multi-session goals like scar treatment or a K-beauty skin program, earlier is better, because spacing matters. Even a week ahead is helpful. Send your photos and dates now and we will help you decide how many days to plan in Seoul.

If you are flexible, we can also suggest the best season for your goals, since some treatments are easier to recover from in cooler months.

Frequently asked

Online Consultation Before You Fly: your questions answered

  • Is the online review a video call?

Most visitors simply send photos and questions by KakaoTalk or email, which is convenient across time zones. If you need a different format, ask us and we will let you know what is possible.

  • Can you tell me the exact price before I arrive?

We can explain which treatments are likely and how pricing works, but the final quote is confirmed after Dr. Yang examines you, because your plan may change once your skin is assessed in person.

  • Are my photos kept private?

Your photos are used only to plan your care and are handled as medical information. Tell us if you have any preferences about how we communicate with you.

  • What if the in-person plan differs from the online one?

That can happen, because some details are only visible in person. Dr. Yang will explain any changes and the reasons, and you decide whether to proceed.
