Skin Boosters & Regeneration in Seoul, Korea

Quick answer

Skin boosters are injectable treatments that improve skin quality, including hydration, texture, elasticity and glow, rather than adding obvious volume. At The Heal in Jamsil, Seoul, a dermatologist chooses between Rejuran, Juvelook and Lituo, often alongside LDM ultrasound regeneration. Most work best as a short series, with gradual improvement over weeks. Results vary between individuals.

Polynucleotide boosters: Rejuran

Rejuran is based on polynucleotides (PN) derived from salmon DNA and is widely used in Korea to support skin repair, elasticity and texture. Fine-particle versions are designed for delicate areas such as under the eyes. Treatment involves small injections, and tiny bumps usually settle within a day or two. It is often chosen by people whose skin feels thin, tired or slow to recover, and it can be combined with lifting or laser in the same plan. A series of about three sessions is commonly suggested.

Collagen-stimulating boosters: Juvelook

Juvelook combines PDLLA, a biostimulator that encourages collagen production, with hyaluronic acid. It is used for fine lines, enlarged pores, shallow scars and overall firmness, with improvement developing gradually. A higher-concentration version is used where gentle volume is also desired. Because PDLLA works by stimulating your own collagen, changes appear gradually over several weeks to months, and the result tends to look natural. Mild swelling and small bumps are common for a few days.

Lituo and combination booster programs

Lituo is a skin booster offered at The Heal as part of our injectable range. Like other boosters, it is chosen according to your skin's needs, and the doctor will explain how it differs from other options at consultation. Many patients benefit most from a combined plan, matching each product to a specific concern within our Radiance Injection signature program. We confirm product details and suitability at consultation rather than making broad claims, and we explain the expected course before you start.

Non-injectable regeneration: LDM

Not every treatment needs needles. LDM Smart Tri uses dual-frequency ultrasound to calm irritated skin, support hydration and help skin recover after lasers. It is gentle, painless and suits sensitive skin or anyone wanting regeneration without downtime. LDM can be added at the end of laser or booster treatments to make recovery more comfortable, which is useful when you have limited time in Seoul.

Boosters are postponed during pregnancy and with active infection at the treatment site. To plan sessions around a trip, read How many skin booster sessions do I need? or ask which booster suits your skin .

The Heal approach

We match each booster to a specific skin need, so you are not paying for a cocktail of products that do the same job.

Frequently asked

Skin Boosters & Regeneration: your questions answered

  • What is the difference between a skin booster and a filler?

Fillers add volume and shape in specific areas. Skin boosters are spread finely through the skin to improve quality, such as hydration, elasticity and texture, without noticeably changing facial shape.

  • Rejuran or Juvelook: which should I choose?

Rejuran focuses on repair, elasticity and calming, while Juvelook emphasizes collagen stimulation for texture, fine lines and shallow scars. Some patients benefit from both. The doctor recommends based on your skin.

  • Do skin boosters hurt?

Most patients feel multiple small pricks. Numbing cream is applied beforehand to improve comfort. Mild redness and small bumps usually settle within one to two days.

  • Can I do a booster course during a short trip?

A full course is typically spaced several weeks apart, so many visitors start with one session in Seoul and continue at a later visit. Even one session can improve hydration and glow.
