What is Ultherapy Prime?
Ultherapy Prime is the latest generation of Merz Aesthetics' Ultherapy platform. It delivers micro-focused ultrasound to precise depths of 1.5, 3.0 and 4.5 mm, creating tiny thermal coagulation points in the SMAS layer — the same layer a surgeon tightens in a facelift. Real-time ultrasound imaging lets the doctor see the tissue layers before every pass, so energy goes exactly where it is planned.
How it lifts and tightens
The heat stimulates your body's own collagen and elastin remodelling. Skin feels firmer immediately, but the real lift builds over 8 to 12 weeks as new collagen forms, and continues to improve for up to six months.

Who is a good candidate?
Ultherapy Prime suits adults in their 30s to 60s with mild to moderate laxity: a softening jawline, lowered brows, early jowls, or a loose under-chin. It is not a substitute for surgery in severe sagging. We do not recommend it during pregnancy, over active infections, or directly over metal implants in the treatment zone.

Comfort, recovery and aftercare
Expect deep, short bursts of heat during treatment; topical anaesthetic and cooling are used for comfort. Mild redness, swelling or tenderness can last a few hours to a few days. You can apply makeup and fly home the same day. Use gentle skincare and sunscreen, and avoid saunas and intense exercise for 48 hours.

How many Ultherapy Prime shots do I need?
It depends on your face size, skin thickness and goals. A full face and neck design commonly ranges from 300 to 800 lines. Dr. Yang recommends a number after examining you in person.
Does Ultherapy Prime hurt?
Most patients feel deep, brief pulses of heat, strongest along the jawline. We use topical anaesthetic and adjust energy so the treatment stays tolerable.
Can I fly the day after Ultherapy in Seoul?
Yes. There is no wound or peeling, so flying the next day is fine. Mild swelling or tenderness may last a few days.
Ultherapy Prime or Thermage FLX — which is better?
They treat different depths. Ultherapy lifts the deep SMAS layer, while Thermage FLX tightens the skin surface and improves texture. Many patients combine both for a lift-and-tighten result.
