Juvelook in Seoul: Collagen Booster for Texture and Fine Lines
Quick answer
Juvelook is a Korean collagen-stimulating skin booster that combines PDLLA (poly-D,L-lactic acid) microparticles with hyaluronic acid. Injected into the dermis, it encourages new collagen to improve texture, fine lines and shallow acne scars gradually. At The Heal in Jamsil, Seoul, a dermatologist usually recommends two to three sessions. Downtime is limited to small bumps for a day or two. Message us your dates and we will plan the course.

How does Juvelook work?
Juvelook contains fine PDLLA microparticles, a biocompatible material that breaks down slowly, together with hyaluronic acid for immediate hydration. Once placed in the dermis, the particles stimulate fibroblasts to produce collagen over the following weeks. The result is gradual improvement in skin thickness, texture and fine lines rather than added volume. Because its particles are smaller and more evenly shaped than those in older collagen stimulators, Juvelook is commonly used superficially across the face for skin quality. A higher-concentration version, Juvelook Volume (Lenisna) , is used when more volume is needed.
What can Juvelook help with?
- Uneven, rough texture and enlarged-looking pores.
- Fine lines on the cheeks and around the eyes.
- Shallow acne scars , often combined with energy or laser treatment; see acne scars .
- Thinning skin that has lost firmness with age.
Juvelook is a skin-quality treatment, so it will not lift sagging tissue or reshape contours. Results build gradually and vary with age, skin type and lifestyle. Dr. Yang will explain what improvement is realistic for your skin before you start, and which other treatments could complement it.
Who is a good candidate?
Juvelook suits adults who want firmer, smoother skin with a natural, gradual change, especially those with fine texture concerns or mild scarring. It may suit people who prefer a longer-acting booster over hydration-only options. We avoid it during pregnancy or breastfeeding, over active infection or acne flares, in people prone to keloid scarring, and in some autoimmune conditions. Tell us about blood thinners and previous fillers or threads. If you are deciding between boosters, our comparison Rejuran vs Juvelook explains the main differences, including how each feels and how quickly results appear.
Treatment day and recovery
After numbing cream, Juvelook is injected across the treatment area by hand or with an injector device. Small raised bumps and redness are common and usually settle within one or two days, and occasional pinpoint bruises fade within a week. Avoid saunas, alcohol and intense exercise for a day or two, and follow your written aftercare. Makeup can typically be used the next day. Collagen builds over four to eight weeks after each session, so improvement continues long after you leave Seoul. Most people need two to three sessions spaced about four weeks apart.
Planning Juvelook around travel
If your stay is long enough, sessions can be completed in Seoul; otherwise one session per visit still contributes to gradual improvement. Because bumps settle quickly, flying the day after treatment is usually fine. Juvelook combines well with lifting and lasers, often on the same day, to address both structure and skin quality. To see whether Juvelook, Rejuran or another booster is right for your concerns, share your skin goals with us and we will recommend a plan that fits your travel dates.
The Heal approach
We use Juvelook when skin needs real collagen support, and we pair it with lifting only when structure also needs help.

Frequently asked
Juvelook: your questions answered
How is Juvelook different from Sculptra?
Both stimulate collagen, but Juvelook uses smaller PDLLA particles combined with hyaluronic acid and is mainly used for skin quality, while Sculptra uses PLLA and is used more for volume.
When will I see results from Juvelook?
Hydration may be noticeable within days, but collagen-related improvement usually appears over four to eight weeks and continues to build after each session. Results vary between people. Photos taken monthly help you see the change.
How long does Juvelook last?
After a completed course, results often last many months because the new collagen is your own. Many patients schedule occasional maintenance sessions to keep the improvement. Sun protection helps preserve results.
Is Juvelook painful?
Numbing cream is applied first, and most people feel quick pricks and pressure. It is generally well tolerated, though some areas can feel more sensitive than others. Cool packs afterward ease any tenderness.
