What makes a face look wide?

Facial width usually comes from one or more of three sources. A large masseter (chewing) muscle creates a square lower face, often from clenching or grinding. Localized fat in the lower cheeks, jowls or under the chin softens the contour. And as skin loosens with age, tissue slides down and outward, widening the jaw area.

A three-phase slimming plan

  1. Phase 1 (week 0): jaw Botox to relax an enlarged masseter, and Onda for fat under the chin or lower cheeks.
  2. Phase 2 (weeks 2–6): lifting such as Ultherapy Prime or Alltite to tighten the jawline once swelling has settled.
  3. Phase 3 (months 2–4): review results; repeat Onda or add a second Botox session if needed.

Smart combinations

  • Square jaw from muscle: jaw Botox alone is often enough
  • Soft, full lower face: Onda + lifting
  • Double chin: Onda or double chin reduction + neck tightening

Who is a good candidate?

Good candidates have a wide lower face from muscle, fat or mild sagging and want a softer V-line without surgery. People who clench or grind their teeth often gain comfort benefits from jaw Botox too. Treatments are postponed during pregnancy or breastfeeding, and some devices are unsuitable over metal implants. Maintaining a slimmer contour

Jaw Botox typically lasts around three to six months, and repeat sessions can produce a longer-lasting reduction in muscle bulk. Fat reduced with Onda tends not to return if weight stays stable. Slimmer Face: your questions answered

  • How long does jaw Botox take to slim my face?

    The muscle starts relaxing within about two weeks, but visible slimming usually appears over four to eight weeks as the muscle reduces in size. This makes it a good first step early in a longer plan.

  • Is Onda safe for the face?

    Onda uses microwave energy to target fat with surface cooling. It is used on the face and body by trained doctors. Mild redness, swelling or tenderness can occur for a few days.

  • Can I slim my face in one trip to Seoul?

    You can start in one trip. Jaw Botox and Onda can often be done in the same visit, but final results appear weeks later at home. Follow-up can be planned for your next visit.

  • Will a slimmer face make me look older?

    Not if planned well. Removing too much fat from the mid-face can create hollows, so we focus on the lower face and jawline and preserve cheek volume.
