A doctor's assessment before every treatment

Safe treatment begins with the right diagnosis. Before any procedure, the dermatologist examines your skin and reviews your medical history, current medications, allergies, previous procedures and any history of cold sores, keloid scarring or pigment problems. Some conditions change what is safe: for example, active infection, pregnancy or recent isotretinoin use may mean postponing certain treatments.

Settings such as energy level, depth and product volume are decided by the doctor for your skin on the day, not taken from a standard menu. If a treatment is not right for you, we will say so and suggest an alternative or a better time.

Genuine devices and approved products

We use genuine devices and consumables supplied through official channels, and products approved for use in Korea. For energy-based treatments such as Ultherapy Prime and Thermage FLX, the system's own tips and cartridges are used as the manufacturer intends. Injectables are opened for your treatment, and you are welcome to see the product box and lot information.

Devices are maintained and checked according to the manufacturers' guidance. If anything about a product or device is unclear, simply ask; transparency is part of informed care. You can learn about each platform on our Medical Devices page.

Hygiene in every treatment room

Hygiene protocols apply to every procedure, from a short skin booster to a long lifting session.

  • Single-use needles and cannulas for all injections, opened at the time of treatment.
  • Single-use tips and consumables where the device or procedure calls for them.
  • Room preparation between patients, with surfaces and device handpieces cleaned.
  • Skin cleansing and disinfection before injections and needle-based procedures.
  • Hand hygiene and gloves for staff throughout procedures.

These basic but essential measures reduce the risk of infection and are part of every visit, whether your treatment takes ten minutes or two hours.

Informed consent and honest expectations

Before treatment, we explain what the procedure involves, expected benefits, common side effects such as redness, swelling or bruising, and less common risks. You sign a consent form only after your questions are answered. For international visitors, we explain consent in English and give you time to read.

Korean medical advertising rules prohibit exaggerated claims, and we agree with them: results vary between individuals, and no reputable clinic can promise a specific outcome. We also tell you when a treatment is unlikely to help. Read our Medical Review & Editorial Policy to see how we keep information accurate.

Aftercare and follow-up, even after you fly home

You leave with clear aftercare instructions covering skincare, sun protection, makeup, exercise and alcohol. If something seems unusual after treatment, you can message us on KakaoTalk or email with photos, and the team will advise you on next steps.

Keep the clinic's contact details handy during your trip. For international patients, we plan treatments so the most visible recovery happens while you are still in Seoul when possible. Our guides on follow-up care after you return home and flying after treatment explain more. Have a safety question? Ask us before you book .

The Heal approach

Safety is not a separate service: it is built into each assessment, each product we open and each aftercare message we answer.

Frequently asked

Safety & Hygiene Standards: your questions answered

  • Are needles and tips reused?

No. Needles and cannulas for injections are single-use and opened for your treatment. Device tips and consumables are used as the manufacturer intends, with single-use parts where the system requires them.

  • Can I see the product before it is injected?

Yes. You are welcome to see the product packaging and lot information before your injection. We are happy to explain which product is being used and why it was chosen for you.

  • What happens if I have a side effect after returning home?

Contact us by KakaoTalk or email with photos and a description. The team will review it with the doctor and advise you. For anything urgent, seek care from a local doctor and share their findings with us.

  • Are there treatments I should avoid during pregnancy?

Most cosmetic procedures, including Botox, fillers and many lasers and energy devices, are generally postponed during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Tell us if you are pregnant or planning pregnancy so we can advise you.
