What normal recovery looks like at home
Most cosmetic treatments settle predictably. After energy-based lifting, mild tenderness fades within days and improvement builds over two to three months. After Botox, the effect appears over about two weeks. Filler swelling usually settles within a week. Laser crusts flake off over several days, followed by a period of pinkness. During this time, keep using gentle skincare and daily sunscreen. Your written aftercare from us is the best reference; for general timelines, see Ultherapy recovery and CO2 laser downtime .
How to send us an update
If you have a question after you get home, message us on KakaoTalk or by email with:
- Clear photos in natural daylight, without makeup, from the front and both sides.
- The treatment date and what was done.
- What you are noticing, when it started and whether it is changing.
- Any products or medications you have started since.
Remember the time difference with Korea and our clinic hours; we reply as soon as we can during opening times. Photos let us compare with your records and give you specific advice.
When to see a doctor locally, urgently
Some symptoms should not wait for a message reply. Seek local medical care promptly if you notice:
- Skin that turns pale, gray, dusky or mottled after filler, or new pain in the treated area.
- Changes in vision after any facial injection.
- Spreading redness, warmth, fever, pus or blistering that may signal infection.
- Signs of an allergic reaction such as facial swelling with difficulty breathing.
Then let us know, so we can share treatment details with your doctor if helpful.
Planning further sessions
Some results are maintained over time. Many patients repeat lifting about once a year, Botox every few months, and booster or laser programs as a series. Options include planning your next Seoul trip around maintenance, or continuing suitable care with a dermatologist at home. We can provide a summary of what was done to help that conversation. See how often to repeat lifting and how many booster sessions you need .
Set up follow-up before your first visit
Good follow-up starts with good planning:
- Message us on KakaoTalk or email with photos, concerns and travel dates.
- We reply with a suggested plan, including expected recovery after you fly.
- Confirm your appointment , ideally early in your trip.
- Meet Dr. Yang in person for an English consultation and treatment, and leave with written aftercare and contact details.
Pricing is quoted after your consultation. Plan your treatment and follow-up with us , or send a question about recovery before you decide.
The Heal approach
Your care does not end at the airport: we keep your treatment records and remain reachable by message, so you have a dermatologist to ask once you are home.

Frequently asked
Follow-Up Care After You Return Home: your questions answered
Can The Heal treat me remotely if there is a problem?
We can review photos, answer questions and advise on next steps, but we cannot examine or treat you remotely. If you need hands-on care, we will recommend seeing a doctor locally.
Can I get a summary of my treatment for my home doctor?
Yes. Ask us before you leave or message us later, and we can provide details of what was performed to help your local doctor understand your treatment.
My results look different on each side. Is that normal?
Mild asymmetry in swelling is common in the first days after filler or lifting. If it persists beyond the expected recovery period, send us photos so we can advise.
When should I message versus see a local doctor?
Message us for questions about normal healing, results or products. See a local doctor or emergency service right away for severe pain, color change after filler, vision changes, fever or signs of infection.
