FAQ

Can I Combine Botox With Lifting Treatments in Seoul?

Quick answer

Yes. Botox and energy-based lifting such as Ultherapy or Thermage FLX work in different ways and are often combined. Lifting tightens tissue and stimulates collagen, while Botox relaxes muscles that cause wrinkles, a square jaw or neck bands. The usual order is lifting first, then Botox, often on the same day. At The Heal in Jamsil, Seoul, we plan both together. Send photos on KakaoTalk.

Why they work well together

Energy-based lifting, such as Ultherapy Prime or Thermage FLX , tightens and lifts by heating tissue and stimulating collagen. Botox relaxes specific muscles, softening expression lines and changing how certain muscles pull on the face. Some muscles pull the face downward, such as the platysma in the neck and the depressor muscles around the mouth, so relaxing them can complement a lift.

Used together, they address two different causes of an aging face: loss of support and muscle activity. The result often looks more natural than using either one alone at higher intensity.

Popular combinations

  • Ultherapy + jaw Botox: lifting with a slimmer lower face; see jaw Botox .
  • Neck lifting + platysma Botox: for neck bands and a sharper jaw line.
  • Brow lifting + forehead or crow's feet Botox: smoother upper face.
  • Thermage + skin Botox: texture and pore refinement.

The right combination depends on your anatomy, muscle strength and goals. We assess these in person, because overdoing either treatment can make the face look stiff or flat rather than refreshed.

Order and timing

When done on the same day, energy-based lifting is usually performed first, followed by Botox, so that heat and pressure from the device do not affect freshly injected areas. If Botox was done first on a previous day, many doctors wait around two weeks before energy treatment over the same area. After Botox, avoid massaging the area and lying face down for a few hours. The doctor will confirm timing for your plan.

Results and travel

Lifting results build over two to three months, while Botox takes several days to start working and about two weeks for the full effect. Both have minimal downtime, which makes them a practical combination for a short Seoul trip. Read how long Botox lasts . Ask us to plan both in one visit .

Plan your appointment early in your stay so you can see Botox begin to take effect before you leave, and message us afterward if anything feels uneven.

The Heal approach

Dr. Yang plans lifting and Botox as one design, using each where it works best rather than adding them as separate extras.

Frequently asked

Related questions about Botox and lifting

  • Can I get Botox and Ultherapy on the same day?

Yes, this is common. Ultherapy is usually done first, then Botox. The doctor confirms the sequence based on the areas being treated.

  • Does lifting reduce the effect of Botox?

When done in the right order, lifting should not reduce Botox's effect. That is why we generally perform energy treatment before injecting.

  • Can I combine filler with lifting too?

Yes, many patients combine lifting, Botox and filler. Timing and order matter, so the doctor plans the full sequence at consultation.

  • How long after Botox can I fly?

You can usually fly the next day. Avoid rubbing the area and lying face down for a few hours after injections.
