A Refreshed, Less Tired Look in Seoul, Korea

Quick answer

Looking tired is usually caused by under-eye hollows and dark circles, heavy brows or eyelids, dull skin and frown lines rather than lack of sleep alone. At The Heal in Jamsil, Seoul, a dermatologist identifies your main causes and combines eye-area lifting, regenerative boosters, gentle filler and skin brightening to restore a rested look. Results vary. Send us a photo for a plan before you fly.

Why do I look tired when I am not?

Several common changes create a tired appearance. Hollows under the eyes cast shadows that look like dark circles. Brows and upper eyelids descend slightly and make eyes look heavy. Frown lines make the face look tense or stressed. And dull, dehydrated skin reflects less light. Pigment around the eyes and thin, crepey skin add to the effect.

Usually two or three of these combine, which is why one treatment alone often does not fully solve the problem. See dark circles and under-eye hollows for more detail.

A three-phase refresh plan

  1. Phase 1 (week 0): eye and brow lifting with Thermage FLX Eyes or Ultherapy for a lighter upper face, plus Botox for frown lines if needed.
  2. Phase 2 (weeks 2–6): Rejuran Eye or similar boosters to thicken thin under-eye skin, and laser toning for pigment.
  3. Phase 3 (if needed): a small amount of under-eye filler for true hollows, placed carefully to avoid puffiness.

Combinations that brighten the whole face

  • Shadowed eyes: booster + conservative under-eye filler
  • Heavy upper face: brow lifting + light forehead Botox
  • Dull complexion: laser toning + hydrating booster
  • Tense expression: frown line Botox + skin quality care

Small, combined improvements usually look more natural than a large change in one area.

Who is a good candidate?

This plan suits people who are often told they look tired or stressed, office workers with screen-heavy days, new parents and frequent travelers. It is not a substitute for medical checks if tiredness has a health cause. Under-eye filler is not suitable for everyone, especially those with puffy lower lids or fluid retention; we may recommend alternatives. Most treatments are postponed during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Keeping the rested look

Eye-area lifting is often repeated yearly, boosters every six to twelve months, and Botox every three to four months. Sleep, sunscreen, and a gentle eye cream support results. Next step: send us a photo in natural light and we will point out which changes are making you look tired and how to address them.

The Heal approach

We look for the two or three small things that make a face look tired and fix those, rather than adding volume everywhere.

Frequently asked

Refreshed, Less Tired Look: your questions answered

  • Can under-eye dark circles be fully removed?

It depends on the cause. Shadows from hollows respond well to boosters or filler, pigment to lasers, and visible vessels less predictably. Most people see clear improvement, though rarely complete removal.

  • Is under-eye filler safe?

In experienced hands, a small amount of soft hyaluronic acid filler is a common treatment. It can be dissolved if needed. We avoid it in people prone to puffiness and may suggest boosters instead.

  • How quickly will I look refreshed?

Botox softens frown lines within one to two weeks. Boosters improve skin over several weeks, and lifting builds over two to three months. Filler gives an immediate change once swelling settles.

  • Can men get these treatments too?

Yes. Many men want to look less tired at work, and the same treatments apply. Doses and design are adapted to keep a natural, masculine appearance.
